Giant rhubarb: The new knotweed?

Updated: Feb 13

Whilst I appreciate gardeners want to have beautiful and exotic plants in their garden, there is a real issue with a few plants - in that they do become thug like and take over and in time become a REAL nuisance! This happened with Japanese knotweed back in the Victorian days, and has happened as of late with gunnera (giant rhubarb), prompting an official ban in the UK.

On that note, check out The Guardian article below, then read The Property Care Association's (PCA) Technical Manager Daniel Docking's more balanced thoughts... though perhaps I'm biased!
